ABOUT US

I wasn’t born with a green thumb, but I was born with a passion for everything that comes from the earth – fauna, and flora. When we bought our property almost fifteen years ago, I thought we’d use it mostly for growing vegetables, raising animals, and letting our kids run around like the wild things they are. As we grew into our land, I became completely enthralled by the cycles of nature and growth, and the satisfaction that comes with self-reliance.

We are committed to growing as naturally as possible. We never use toxic chemicals on any of our crops – and yes, that means sometimes we have to work extra hard to keep things weed- and pest-free. But with three kids running around the property – one of whom can’t seem to keep from coming inside covered in whatever’s supposed to be on the ground – we think it’s worth it!

FAQ

FAQ

  • Do you do special events?
We don't do weddings (yet!) or large events, but if you've got a smaller get-together, let us know and we'll see how we can work with you.
  • What is the difference between the early-season and late-season subscriptions?
Both subscriptions include four bouquets over eight weeks, but each season has different "showoffs." While we can't guarantee any specific varieties, we can give you an idea of what's typical of each. Early-season flowers are usually a little more airy or ethereal. Think snapdragons, sweet peas, and flowering herbs. The late-season flowers have had more time, so they're a little more robust and moody. Think sunflowers, dahlias, zinnias, and rudbeckia.
  • When does my subscription start?
Mother Nature is queen, so we can't give an exact date when your subscription will begin. Normally, the early-season subscription will begin around the end of June or beginning of July, and end eight weeks later. The late-season subscription will follow that, usually beginning mid-August and ending mid-October, but again, your dates could vary depending on weather and conditions. We'll send out an email updating subscribers when things start to bloom - until then, we're crossing our fingers and waiting just like you are!
  • Can I buy bouquets without committing to a subscription?
Absolutely! Although we do prioritize our subscription holders, we have plenty of flowers that aren't part of the subscription - these are typically spring flowers like tulips, daffodils, and ranunculus, or some of the longer-blooming fall flowers like sunflowers, marigolds, or dahlias. We're also planning to open a roadside farmstand in early 2025, so keep an eye out for more information about the location and hours! Psst...the best way to keep in the loop is to subscribe to our newsletter or follow us on social media!
  • What's your refund policy?
While there are many "unknowns" in flower farming (weather, pests, and plant disease being a few of them), we want you to be happy. If for any reason you're not satisfied with your flowers, please let us know and we'll do our best to fix it. If crop failure or shortage means we can't deliver you a bouquet on the date we've promised, we'll try to work on a substitute date or extend your subscription. If that doesn't work for you, we'll gladly refund you for the missed delivery or deliveries.
  • How does delivery work?
We deliver your bouquets bi-weekly on Mondays. Because your bouquets are hand-picked from our fields the morning of your delivery (or the night before, depending on the weather), our deliveries might be during hot parts of the day. We highly suggest that someone is home to receive the bouquet so it doesn't wilt on your front porch. If that's not possible, we would recommend that you leave a glass jar or vase full of water in a shady spot on your porch for us to set your flowers in, or that you take advantage of our pickup option.
  • Can I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription up to 48 hours before your first delivery. After that, we're happy to transfer it to someone else if you'd like to give flowers to a friend or family member, or offer you credit toward future purchases.
  • Why should I buy local flowers?
There are so many reasons to buy local flowers! For starters, our flowers are grown right here on our property, so the day you receive them is probably the day (or the day after) they were cut. It doesn't get much fresher! This means you get unique and often heirloom varieties that don't travel or store well, but look gorgeous on your kitchen table (or desk, or nightstand, or bathroom vanity, or...well, you get the picture). We also keep things organic around here, so you know the flowers in your home are toxin-free. Plus, you get to support your community and local businesses!
  • What is a flower subscription?
A flower subscription works like any other subscription! We'll deliver (or you'll pick up) a farm-fresh bouquet every other week. Your first bouquet will include a jar for you to reuse (and set out for us to fill for future deliveries), and each bouquet after that will be wrapped in eco-friendly paper. All bouquets will include a packet of flower food so you can enjoy your flowers as long as possible.
  • Tell me about the pickup option.
For those who'd rather pick up their flowers (maybe you're not home during the delivery window, or you live outside our delivery area), email us and we'll give you a pickup option. Our pickup window is Monday between 1:00 and 4:00, and the location is on Eagle Road, near the Chinden intersection. We'll give you an exact address once your subscription is confirmed.
  • What if these times don't work for me?
We get it - things come up and summers get crazy. Sometimes we can adjust your pickup time or switch it to an "off" week (the week in between what would have been your normal delivery times). Although we can't guarantee anything, email us and we'll see what we can do!
  • My favorite flower is [insert something fabulous here]. Can you guarantee I'll get this in my bouquet?
We wish we could! But as a small family farm, we can only grow a certain amount of flowers during the season, so once we're out, we're out. Mama Nature is the curveball queen, and things like weather, pests, or disease may limit our production in a given season. And we think part of the fun of a bouquet subscription is being surprised with what's blooming that week. That said, if you know you love something and you're dying to have it, feel free to shoot us an email and we'll see what we can do.
  • What about a full-season subscription?
Lucky you! You get the early-season and late-season bouquets, which works out to eight bouquets over the course of 16 weeks. This will include the more delicate-looking, fragrant early-season blooms and the more dramatic, deeper-hued late-season flowers.
